Study of early detection of prostate cancer

Participating in the study of early detection of prostate cancer will help you get important information about your health and if necessary, timely examinations and treatment. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, and it can be successfully treated when detected early.

The aim of the study is to assess the feasibility of conducting a screening program in Estonia that considers men's individual risk of developing prostate cancer. The study helps to identify men with high risk of prostate cancer, while reducing the number of unnecessary diagnostic and treatment procedures in low-risk men. The study consists of multiple stages and begins with a blood test to measure the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA). Men with PSA test result exceeding a threshold are referred to visit a urologist and subsequent procedures will be conducted at healthcare facilities.

For online booking you will need to identify yourself using your ID-card, Mobile-ID, or Smart-ID.
